Today I wanted to find a list of small cap stocks breaking out of their trading patterns. I used Barchart to sort the S&P Small Cap 600 Index stocks to find ones that had the most frequent up days in the last month, then used the Flip Chart feature to review the charts.

Today's list includes Ligand Pharmaceuticals (LGND), Healthstream (HSTM), IPC The Hospitalist Company (IPCM), Stephan Company (SCL) and Cash America International (CSH).
